Lee Carrothers, our founder and Managing Principal, has a BSBA in marketing from the University of Denver. He has evaluated, negotiated, and marketed sponsorships for more than 35 years for organizations such as Coors Brewing Company, the Denver Broncos Football Club, Castle Pines Tournament Co., and the U.S. Olympic Festival.
Being on "the opposite side of things," Lee would evaluate the dollars that Coors Brewing Company would spend on marketing and sponsorship, giving Lee the knowledge of how and why a Fortune 500 company strategically spends their brand budgets and how they decide on selection of their ideal marketing and sponsorship campaigns.
During his tenure with Coors, he lead the negotiations and executed a $40M contract for the naming of Coors Field. He spent 17 years with Coors Brewing Company negotiating their largest sports sponsorship packages, including naming rights, network television and radio, merchandising, and on-site signage. The past 25 years, Lee has been operating Venue Partners and has recruited millions of dollars worth of sponsorships for Venue Partner clients.
